Year-end Review

Form W-2 / 1099 reports will be made available for review on December 30, 2017 and all edits need to be completed by 8 pm EST on January 7, 2018.

Year-end reports will be automatically submitted on your behalf starting January 8, 2018 through our tax partner, PTM, and amendments can be requested from February 1 onward.

Year-end reporting is included in our all-in-one pricing; however,

  • If you request a Form W-2 / 1099 amendment after the review period, there will be a $10 charge per amendment. 
  • Additionally, amendments to Forms 941, 940 or state forms wil be charged at $99 each. 

To review your Form W-2 / 1099 reports –

  • Click Reports > More > Year-end Review.
  • Your staff will be separated into three categories, as applicable - Active Employees, Terminated Employees and Contractors.
  • The first active employee's Form W-2 will be automatically populated on the page. 
  • Click the Edit button, and the editable portions of the form will be highlighted in yellow. Any changes you make to employee details will need to be saved and the edited Form W-2 / 1099 is the report that we will submit on your behalf. 
  • If you make any mistakes, you can click the Revert to original link and any changes you made will be lost. 
  • Single view will allow you to view / edit individual forms one at a time and multi view will allow you to view / edit all employees and contractors in a grid format. 

To access PDF copies of the final Form W-2 / 1099 reports –

  • The following documents - QE4 Report (includes Form 941), Form W-2 and 1099 - will be made available in PDF format in the Reports tab in Wagepoint. 

  • Employees will be able to view and print their individual Form W-2 / 1099 online through their Wagepoint employee account the week of January 22, 2018. 

If you have active or terminated employees who don’t have access to their Wagepoint employee accounts online, you will need to print and physically mail or hand out their W2 / 1099.
